| About Chinese Characters |
| |
| Characters are always regarded too difficult for a beginning
learning mandarin. Some would prefer not to learn them unless
necessary. It's true that learning characters always requires
twice the amount of time and effort. |
| |
| However, for an intermediate learner, characters turn out
to be important as they tell meanings without confusing you
with same pronunciation - actually, there are too many words
pronounced similar or even exactly the same! |
| |
| Leaning to recognize one character each day might take some
effort, but you will surely find it rewarding. |
| |
| About Character Card |
| |
| We now provide two kinds of character cards: single-character
card and multiple-character card. The former one is mainly
for studying
the character itself, while you can sometimes see a popular word on the right
side: |
| |
 |
| |
| For the multiple-character card, we suggest you learn them
as a fixed combination, because they often appear together. |

| Finding The Card |
| |
| We suggest you learn the card by sorting with "topic", since
topics are closely related with the daily life, and structures
can therefore be constructed more easily. |
